Anna- Helena McLean (From Gardzienice and Archetypes in Shakespeare) and Christopher Sivertsen (Song of the Goat, Natural Perspective TC and Awake) have been working with a performance called Moon Fool for a while. The work combines their 10year physical theatre training from Poland with the western clown and mime genre. The performance is being directed by Nola Rae who is one of the worlds most acclaimed stage artists.
You now have the possibility to explore these disciplines during an intensive week led by Anna- Helena and Christopher. The week will concentrate mainly around the exploration of the characters in A Midsummernights Dream and contain intense physical and musical training. The training aims to open and support the character and it’s story.

Centre for Theatre Practices Gardzienice http://www.gardzienice.art.pl has enjoyed an international reputation for its extraordinary theatre performances for over twenty five years. Musicality is a base for their work and training which has created a unique theatre style that in it’s turn has influenced numerous theatres around the world. Amongst these are Theatre Slava. Their performances Awakum and Carmina Burana are already legends and their latest production Elektra (where Anna- Helena has played the main part for 7 years) is about to become another.
Song of the Goat (Teatr Piesn Kozla) was grounded by Grzegorz Bral and Anna Zubrzycka in Wroclaw, Poland on 1997. The work is built on the principal of ”coordination” of musicality, physicality and text. Their production of Chronicles- a Lamentation won the Fringe First, the Herald Angel, and The Guardian’s Best International Show at the Edingurgh Festival in 2004. After this the copmany has been celebrated on important venues world and is known as one of the worlds most influencial ávant garde theatres of today. Christopher has been a pricipal performer with the company since 2000.
